22 June 2011

Yesterday was Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year and many people stayed up all night to welcome the rising sun at dawn.  This may sound rather whacky but Midsummer Night was a time to focus on lovers and fortune telling, commemorating the magic of the year's shortest night and nature.  Even Shakespeare used the fairy legends and lovers traditions and wrote about them in A Midsummer Night's Dream.

As well as the longest day, there are actually 3 eclipses in one month.  We had a partial solar eclipse on June 1st and we had a full moon eclipse on June 15th and there’ll be another partial solar eclipse on July 1st.  Triples are very rare and here we are in the middle of them right now!

These can mean a “turning point” for us or we can be totally unaware of what is happening to us!  These can be opportunities to turn away from or drop the past and old habits.

But eclipses can also reinforce old habits and the past and lock them in for the future.  Tibetan monks suggest that these eclipse time are times to observe our own mindstream and take notes of what appears to find direction.  Attending Meditation classes or listening to a meditation CD is very beneficial to master “mindfulness”.  (Class dates and CD to order, on my website).

So, many people will leave negative relationships and negative jobs at this time or old habits of smoking or over-eating for example.  Letting go of the past and old habits will not be easy for most people, but it will open a new door of opportunity that couldn’t be opened until the old door was shut!

If you are unsure of your direction, keep repeating the same mistakes; suffer from negative thoughts or addictive patterns of behaviour or feel confused / fearful, contact me for a Spiritual Response Therapy which can be done via email for anyone, anywhere.  It clears your Soul Record (Akashic Record) of negativity and blocks and can identify your spiritual themes and challenges.

Wishing you a busy, happy week!
Heather
